Students will acquire the basic concepts related to Web Site design and will have the opportunity to create a design plan for an educational web site defining the goals and objectives of the web site, the audience, and content elements. Students will also develop skills in creating online courses using software such as Adobe Dreamweaver and freeware such as I-Spring, NVU Composer, GIMPs, etc.

Creative learning design is about designing learning activities for technology enhanced learning based on sound learning theories. The aim of this module is to ground the use of technology using pedagogical scenarios that evolve from learner needs. Learners will have to think of creative, engaging and outcome-based learning events which they will then incorporate in their classrooms and evaluate to feedback into the design.

This module introduces learners to the OER concept, a novel philosophy to instructional authoring of courseware that will widely supported by a number of reputed organisations throughout the world. The theme of Open educational resources is one of current interest as Educational institutions and organisations around the world have created a movement to promote free access to education. This module anticipates on the UoM innovative stance for promoting courses that respond to the needs of both the 21stCentury student and technology-intensive professions. This module will empower students with the indispensable tools and knowledge for greater participation in higher education and beyond while promoting an unavoidable lifelong learning mind-set.
