This module is designed to enable the student to develop an understanding of the various field of IP, from a holistic perspective, rather than from distinct legal, technological and business perspectives, and how IP may be used as a strategic tool for value generation.

This module is designed to help learners address leadership in the knowledge society; assuming effective leadership is essential in all modern organisations more so, when technology is part of the reality of the organisation. It will also develop an understanding of the nature and competencies of leadership and provide learners with opportunities to explore the pivotal role of education in the knowledge society and alternatively, how the knowledge society can trigger educational change.

This module aims to explore the various skills that are required for effectively integrating technology in the classroom using a learner-centred approach.

The project involves learners to adopt relevant research approaches. These include technology-enhanced projects in line with their teaching practice. A report of academic tenure needs to be submitted and defended in a viva for successful completion of the project.

Education is essential to social and economic development, especially for citizens in developing countries. The future is changing so dramatically and quickly that it poses more challenges for current educational leaders. They are educating students for the unknown. Hence, educational leaders need to explore the necessary changes and challenges that their educational systems are faced with now; and how innovation can be used to inform their future.
